Shade Tree Software Launches Wireless OBD-II AdapterShade Tree Software cuts the cord with its latest product offering, a Bluetooth based wireless vehicle interface. The ability to connect to CAN, K-Line and J1850 based databuses is now available to customers owning a Bluetooth enabled, PalmOS PDA. Not only does this adapter allow customers to perform extensive VAG family (VAG, Audi, etc.) diagnostics on vehicle using a K-Line databus, but the new adapter also supports the CAN bus. All this on inexpensive, compact PalmOS PDAs with no boot times. In addition to the VAG diagnostics Shade Tree is known for, this new product has to ability to perform OBD-II diagnostics on all vehicles model year 1996 and news. This includes domestic vehicles using the J1850 databus (Ford and GM). Did we mention Bluetooth? This newest product does use a cable to connect the PDA to the vehicle adapter. The wireless Bluetooth link allows customers more flexibility when performing diagnostics. Customers can walk around the vehicle or even under the vehicle while monitoring real-time data and not have to worry about getting tangled in a cord. With a class 1 transceiver the adapter has a long range allowing users to walk across the shop or even go to another room without dropping their diagnostic link.
